Objectifs :
This is an interactive workshop for English speaking doctoral candidates at UGA.
Objectives:
1) Identify skills acquired during the PhD experience
2) Put words and know how to promote the skills acquired during the thesis in front of employers from different sectors, and other interlocutors
Programme :
This interactive half-day workshop is structured in several stages, alternating between theoretical and methodological contributions, a reminder of the regulatory framework, presentation of tools, collective reflection, discussions, and practical exercises.
This is a confidential space where participants' expectations are taken into account by the facilitator.
The workshop addresses various questions: What is a competency? Why discuss the skills developed during the PhD? Why encourage the identification of these skills?
The competency-based approach, which applies to all levels of education and the PhD in particular, is discussed during the session. Numerous examples are presented at local, national, and international levels.
