Ah skills! Through surveys conducted respectively with PhD students and Doctors and with recruiters, I have been able to give you an overview of the perception of these skills and their value by each of these groups.
On the one hand, PhD students and Doctors who wish to manage their future career but who sometimes lack the tools and techniques to identify and promote their own skills. On the other hand, recruiters show great interest in these graduates but may also find them lacking in terms of their specific needs.
These two findings are logical since the first seems to involve the second. If a Doctor does not know how to convey his or her value and willingness to adapt by highlighting his or her skills during an interview with a recruiter, then the latter may feel that the Doctor is lacking something. One of the keys to solving these issues will ultimately be the identification of skills by Doctors and learning how to promote them in order to show recruiters to what extent they are able to meet the expectations of the position applied for and to what extent they are useful in contributing to the development of projects.
I would like to invite you to discover in pictures this path that could become yours!
