NTU 2019 Ranking: Univ. Grenoble Alpes strengthens its position in the top 150 best scientific universities in the world

Univ. Grenoble Alpes  is 126th in the world for the second consecutive year and 5th in France at the "NTU Ranking" for the performance of its scientific publications.

The National Taiwan University produces the Performance Ranking of Scientific Papers for World Universities. It is also known as the "NTU Ranking", and is a general ranking of university scientific paper performance, grouped into six fields (Agriculture, Engineering, Life Sciences, Medicine, Natural Sciences), which are sub-divided into subjects (twenty-four in total).

Université Grenoble Alpes in the top 50 in Natural Sciences

Université Grenoble Alpes is 126th in the international ranking, as well as being well-placed in 5 of the 6 categories: Natural Sciences (37th), Agriculture (98th), Engineering (117th), Life Sciences (218th) and Medicine (268th).

It stands out in particular in the field of Natural Sciences, for which it is ranked second in France and 37th in the world, as well as in Agriculture, for which it is ranked 3rd in France and 98th in the world.

In terms of subjects, the Université Grenoble Alpes are notably well placed in world rankings for the following:
• Geosciences (24th)
• Space Science (straight in at 33rd)
• Physics (39th)
• Environment/Ecology (66th)
• Chemistry (94th)

Fifth place in France

Université Grenoble Alpes also ranks fifth among French institutions. Sorbonne University, which is ranked first in France, is ranked 35th in the world, followed by the Université Paris-Sud 99th, the Université Paris Diderot 103rd and the Université Aix-Marseille 107th.

This ranking confirms Université Grenoble Alpes as one of the best universities in the world after Shanghai 2018, which ranked Université Grenoble Alpes in the top 50 worldwide in 11 subjects.
